Week 86: Lil Lidl vs GiusMNDO

We had a pretty interesting week this week. It started out with a normal Thursday followed by a trip to Varese on Friday. We spent some time with the senior couple the Kings and their friends there who apparently are in our ward. Unfortunately they're too old to make it all the way over to Como or something so they tune in on Zoom every week. We had a nice dinner and the Kings told us a lot of stories about when they used to live in Italy.

Sunday was miraculous in that one of our friends came to church for the first time and he even invited his friend we'd never met to come too. They both really liked it and one of them even came to institute (weekly Scripture Study class) on Tuesday. On Monday we had interviews with the Woods but everything went wrong with the trains. We got stuck at like 3 of the 4 stations because of canceled trains or delays, not to mention that interviews were behind schedule too. We were gone from home for like 10 hours because of that. We ended up just going finding whenever we had to wait.

Today I got my hair cut and my barber asked where I was from and why I was in Italy. Long story short he agreed to meet again tomorrow. In the Italy Milan Mission we find every day 🏋‍♂️

Great quote from President Hinckley:

"I bear witness [of] the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. Without it life is meaningless. It is the keystone in the arch of our existence."

The Atonement of Jesus Christ is central to God's plan for us. Our progression wouldn't be possible without it. We wouldn't be able to be cleansed and perfected if it wasn't for Christ's sacrifice. This is why we share our message with everyone because we want people to be able to understand just how life changing the Atonement is. I invite you all to ponder on how your life would be different without the Atonement.

Abbiamo avuto una settimana piuttosto interessante. Abbiamo iniziato con un normale giovedì, seguito da una gita a Varese il venerdì. Abbiamo trascorso un po' di tempo con la coppia senior di missionari, i King, e i loro amici che, a quanto pare, fanno parte del nostro rione. Purtroppo sono troppo anziani per andare fino a Como più o meno, quindi si collegano su Zoom ogni settimana. Abbiamo avuto una bella cena e i King ci hanno raccontato molte storie di quando vivevano in Italia.

La domenica è stata miracolosa: uno dei nostri amici è venuto in chiesa per la prima volta e ha invitato anche un suo amico che non avevamo mai incontrato. A entrambi è piaciuto molto e uno di loro è venuto anche all'istituto (lezione settimanale di studio delle Scritture) il martedì. Lunedì abbiamo avuto le interviste con i Wood, ma tutto è andato storto con i treni. Siamo rimasti bloccati in 3 stazioni su 4 a causa di treni cancellati o ritardi, per non parlare del fatto che anche le interviste erano in ritardo. Siamo stati via da casa per circa 10 ore per questo motivo. Abbiamo finito per andare a cercare ogni volta che dovevamo aspettare.

Oggi mi sono tagliato i capelli e il mio barbiere mi ha chiesto da dove venissi e perché fossi in Italia. Per farla breve, ha accettato di incontrarci di nuovo domani. Nella Missione di Milano troviamo ogni giorno 🏋‍♂️.

"Porto testimonianza [dell'] Espiazione del Signore Gesù Cristo. Senza di essa la vita non ha senso. È la chiave di volta dell'arco della nostra esistenza".

L'Espiazione di Gesù Cristo è centrale nel piano di Dio per noi. Il nostro progresso non sarebbe possibile senza di essa. Non potremmo essere purificati e perfezionati se non fosse per il sacrificio di Cristo. Per questo motivo condividiamo il nostro messaggio con tutti, perché vogliamo che le persone possano capire quanto l'Espiazione cambi la vita. Vi invito a riflettere su come la vostra vita sarebbe diversa senza l'Espiazione.
