Week 81: Ghost Bus

Como might be stealing the title Miracle City that I gave to Ancona back in June. People have been falling into our laps lately. We had another crazy session of sim finding Sunday night and smashed our goal again against all odds. We even found a member who hadn't been to church in a long time and he just happened to be roommates with our friend who we just set baptismal date with. Overall a good week.

On Monday I had an exchange with Anziano Moore in Busto Arsizio. Never heard of it? Me neither. But we found 11 people no sweat. A number like that used to be unimaginable for a week, let alone a single day. We also had some really awesome lessons. In one they asked to sing an opening hymn and have me pick. The first one that came to mind was How Firm A Foundation but then they made us sing all 7 verses, in Spanish too. It was a marathon but I enjoyed myself.

God wants us to find Him, He just needs us to look for Him first.

Como potrebbe rubare il titolo di Città dei Miracoli che avevo dato ad Ancona a giugno. Ultimamente la gente ci cade in grembo. Domenica sera abbiamo di nuovo trovato delle persone in maniera pazzesca tramite la sim e, contro ogni aspettativa, abbiamo superato il nostro obiettivo. Abbiamo persino trovato un membro che non andava in chiesa da molto tempo e che, guarda caso, è compagno di stanza del nostro amico con cui abbiamo appena fissato la data del battesimo. Nel complesso una buona settimana.

Lunedì ho avuto uno scambio con Anziano Moore a Busto Arsizio. Non ne avete mai sentito parlare? Nemmeno io. Ma abbiamo trovato 11 persone senza problemi. Un numero del genere era inimmaginabile in una settimana, figuriamoci in un solo giorno. Abbiamo anche fatto delle lezioni davvero fantastiche. In una hanno chiesto di cantare un inno di apertura e di farmelo scegliere. Il primo che mi è venuto in mente è stato Un Fermo Sostegno, ma poi ci hanno fatto cantare tutte e 7 le strofe, anche in spagnolo. È stata una maratona, ma mi sono divertito.
