Week 75: Editing Videos for Six Hours Straight

This week my MTC group went from 20 to 8. The departing testimony meeting where all the Sorelle and my old comp Anziano Romero bore their testimonies just hit different. Also my district went from 12 to 7, so we're spread crazy thin. Every companionship is now over two areas for the next two or three weeks.

As the tech Anziani in the mission we've been painfully busy working on various Christmas projects. Literally everything imaginable has gone wrong. Because of our deadlines we ended up editing videos all day yesterday. We did have a few cool miracles where we went finding for good chunks of time and literally found no one interested. However two days in a row we found ourselves at the same random bus stop in Como and found someone interested there who hopped on the bus with us. The Lord provides when we show our faith.

Other random things that happened were that I stepped in gum with my nice Firenze leather shoes and we wore our Lidl sweaters to our ward Christmas party on Saturday.

Spiritual thought!

Someone asked me to write up a little testimony for Christmas so I figured I'd drop it here too:

In our mission we recite the Living Christ together at Christmas. Truly Christ's way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come. I've seen Him change people, especially myself. I've felt Him there for me when I've felt overwhelmed, telling me that everything will be okay. No one but a divine being could offer a peace with such surety. He was born on Earth so we could be born again; because of Him we don't have to be what we have been, but who He can make us. Because of Him we have infinite potential. I know He lives and appeared with His Father to Joseph Smith and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Him. God be thanked for the matchless gift of His divine Son.

TRADUZIONE IN ITALIANO

Questa settimana il mio gruppo dell'MTC è passato da 20 a 8 persone. La riunione di testimonianza dei missionari in partenza, in cui tutte le Sorelle e il mio vecchio collega Anziano Romero hanno portato la loro testimonianza, mi ha colpito in modo diverso. Anche il mio distretto è passato da 12 a 7, quindi siamo molti di meno. Ogni coppia è ora su due aree per le prossime due o tre settimane.

Come Anziani della tecnologia della missione siamo stati terribilmente occupati a lavorare su vari progetti natalizi. È andato storto letteralmente tutto quello che si poteva immaginare. A causa delle scadenze, ieri abbiamo finito per editare video per tutto il giorno. Ci sono stati alcuni miracoli quando siamo andati a cercare per un bel po' di tempo e non abbiamo trovato nessuno interessato. Tuttavia, per due giorni di fila ci siamo trovati alla stessa fermata dell'autobus a Como e abbiamo trovato qualcuno interessato che è salito sull'autobus con noi. Il Signore provvede quando mostriamo la nostra fede.

Altre cose così che sono successe sono state che ho calpestato una gomma con le mie belle scarpe di cuoio di Firenze e che sabato abbiamo indossato i nostri maglioni Lidl alla festa di Natale del nostro rione.

Pensiero spirituale!

Qualcuno mi ha chiesto di scrivere una piccola testimonianza per Natale, così ho pensato di lasciarla anche qui:

Nella nostra missione recitiamo insieme il Cristo Vivente a Natale. La via di Cristo è davvero la strada che porta alla felicità in questa vita e alla vita eterna nel mondo a venire. Ho visto come Lui può cambiare le persone, soprattutto me stesso. L'ho sentito al mio fianco quando mi sono sentito sopraffatto, dicendomi che tutto andrà bene. Nessuno, se non un essere divino, potrebbe offrire una pace così sicura. Egli è nato sulla Terra perché noi potessimo rinascere; grazie a Lui non dobbiamo essere quello che siamo stati, ma quello che Lui può fare di noi. Grazie a Lui abbiamo un potenziale infinito. So che Egli vive ed è apparso con Suo Padre a Joseph Smith e che il Libro di Mormon è un'altra testimonianza di Lui. Dio sia ringraziato per il dono ineguagliabile del Suo Figlio divino.
