Week 62: Hell's Bells

Warning post is kinda long sorry haha

This week we had zone conference which was pretty awesome. For the first hour it felt like the Spirit was just flooding my mind with ideas, it was pretty cool. On the way home from the train station we dropped our massive box of books and it broke. Some Bengali guy there asked us why we had so many books and we told him we gave scriptures out for free. By a literal miracle I'd felt prompted to order Bengali Book of Mormon (weeks before when we placed this order) so we dug through the box, found it, and gave it to him. It's not every day that you hand out a Bengali Book of Mormon so that was a huge miracle right there.

On Saturday we drove to Rimini to support the Sorelle's friend who got baptized! It was nice to go to a baptism again since I hadn't gone since I was in Bergamo. On Monday we met this lady who can no longer speak and we've started teaching her about the Book of Mormon. She's super sweet and was so excited to learn more when we initially brought it up.

Every day the bells of Hell ring out, but we have God on our side so I say let them ring louder, for they will never prevail.

Attenzione, il post è un po' lungo, scusate.

Questa settimana abbiamo avuto la conferenza di zona, che è stata davvero fantastica. Per la prima ora mi è sembrato che lo Spirito mi inondasse la mente di idee, è stato molto bello. Mentre tornavamo a casa dalla stazione ferroviaria abbiamo fatto cadere la nostra enorme scatola di libri e si è rotta. Un ragazzo bengalese ci ha chiesto perché avevamo così tanti libri e noi gli abbiamo detto che davamo le Scritture gratuitamente. Letteralmente per miracolo mi ero sentito spinto a ordinare il Libro di Mormon in bengalese (settimane prima, quando abbiamo fatto questo ordine), così abbiamo cercato a fondo nella scatola, l'abbiamo trovato e glielo abbiamo dato. Non capita tutti i giorni di distribuire un Libro di Mormon in bengalese, quindi questo è stato un grande miracolo.

Sabato siamo andati a Rimini per sostenere un amico delle Sorelle che si è battezzato! È stato bello andare di nuovo a un battesimo, visto che non ci andavo da quando ero a Bergamo. Lunedì abbiamo incontrato una signora che non può più parlare e abbiamo iniziato a insegnarle a riguardo del Libro di Mormon. È dolcissima ed era così entusiasta di saperne di più quando ne abbiamo parlato.

È chiaro che abbiamo disturbato molto Satana qui ad Ancona. Non ho mai visto tanta opposizione al nostro lavoro in un arco di tempo così breve. L'avversario conosce il potenziale della Chiesa qui e sta cercando in tutti i modi di rallentarlo. Ogni giorno le campane dell'inferno suonano, ma noi abbiamo Dio dalla nostra parte e quindi dico di farle suonare più forte, perché non prevarranno mai.
