Week 57: Team Sprite

I accidentally started a movement with the Sprite T shirt I bought a few weeks ago.
This week was really strange and unproductive, but not because we were being lazy or something. First off we went to Bologna again for interviews with Presidente and Sorella Wood. On the way back we got stranded in this random city named Fano for two hours because all the trains shut down. We ended up being on the train for six hours total and got home almost at 11.
On Monday I had an exchange with the Pesaro Anziani but one of them started feeling pretty bad so we were told to bring him to the ER because I guess that's the only way to get a walk in appointment here. Basically we got there at 7 pm and by 7 am we were still way back in the line so we just gave up and went home. Also some drunk dude was in there and offered us beer twice around 4 am. He also started talking to me about rock music for some reason and he started yelling from excitement when he asked me where AC/DC is from and I got it right. This was almost around 4 am when everyone in the waiting room was trying to sleep. So yeah it ended up just being a huge waste of time so our mission president gave us permission to just go home and sleep all day since we were up all night.
So yeah it was a pretty anticlimactic week in terms of work because we spent half of it out of commission.
Spiritual thought! This time I'm just gonna copy and paste the link to a BYU devotional that I really like.
A quick quote from it: "That brings me to a second falsehood. It is this: as the world grows more wicked, it is only reasonable to expect to be overcome by temptation. That is not true either. We do not face so bleak a prospect."
Without droning on too much, the whole idea of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is to give us access to His infinite power to give us the ability to overcome anything really in this life. Yes some things won't be resolved until after this life but we are promised that everything will work together for our good, and all the more so if we are faithful to Jesus Christ (2 Nephi 2:2). To quote from the Living Christ, "His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come." With Christ's power we can have hope that we can be changed, even transformed, into something better.

Ho casualmente dato vita a un movimento con la maglietta della Sprite che ho comprato qualche settimana fa.
Questa settimana è stata davvero strana e improduttiva, ma non perché fossimo pigri o altro. Prima di tutto siamo andati di nuovo a Bologna per le interviste con Presidente e Sorella Wood. Al ritorno siamo rimasti bloccati per due ore in una città che si chiama Fano perché tutti i treni erano fermi. Alla fine siamo rimasti in treno per un totale di sei ore e siamo arrivati a casa quasi alle 11.
Lunedì ho fatto uno scambio con gli Anziani di Pesaro, ma uno di loro ha iniziato a sentirsi parecchio male e ci è stato detto di portarlo al Pronto Soccorso, perché credo sia l'unico modo per ottenere una visita di controllo qui senza appuntamento. In pratica siamo arrivati alle 19.00 e alle 7.00 del mattino eravamo ancora indietro nella fila, così ci abbiamo rinunciato e siamo tornati a casa. C'era anche un tizio ubriaco che ci ha offerto della birra due volte verso le 4 del mattino. Ha anche iniziato a parlarmi di musica rock per qualche motivo e ha iniziato a urlare dall'emozione quando mi ha chiesto da dove venissero gli AC/DC e io ho risposto correttamente. Questo accadeva quasi alle 4 del mattino, quando tutti nella sala d'attesa stavano cercando di dormire. Quindi, sì, alla fine è stata un'enorme perdita di tempo e il nostro presidente di missione ci ha dato il permesso di andare a casa e dormire tutto il giorno, visto che eravamo stati svegli tutta la notte.
Quindi, sì, è stata una settimana piuttosto anomala in termini di lavoro, perché ne abbiamo trascorsa metà fuori servizio.
Pensiero spirituale! Questa volta mi limiterò a copiare e incollare il link di un devozionale di BYU che mi piace molto.
Una breve citazione:"Questo mi porta a una seconda falsità. È questa: poiché il mondo diventa sempre più malvagio, è ragionevole aspettarsi di essere sopraffatti dalla tentazione. Neanche questo è vero. Non abbiamo di fronte una prospettiva così cupa".
Senza dilungarmi troppo, l'intera idea del Vangelo di Gesù Cristo è quella di darci accesso al Suo potere infinito per darci la capacità di superare qualsiasi cosa in questa vita. È vero che alcune cose si risolveranno solo dopo questa vita, ma ci è stato promesso che tutto sarà consacrato per il nostro bene, e a maggior ragione se saremo fedeli a Gesù Cristo (2 Nefi 2:2). Per citare il Cristo vivente, "la Sua via è il sentiero che conduce alla felicità in questa vita e alla vita eterna nel mondo a venire". Con il potere di Cristo possiamo avere la speranza di poter essere cambiati, persino trasformati, in qualcosa di migliore.
